Dr Phạm Văn Thế is a Vietnamese botanist specialising in plant diversity, taxonomy, conservation biology, and plant reproductive ecology. He is currently a researcher at Van Lang University, where his work focuses on the documentation, classification, and conservation of Vietnam’s flora.

With extensive field experience, Dr Thế contributes expert knowledge to ecological research, biodiversity surveys, and conservation-focused nature tours, supporting the protection and sustainable management of Vietnam’s rich plant heritage.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Mr Bùi Tiến Dũng, M.Sc.
Community Leader, Ecological Consultant and Field Guide
(commonly known as Mr Bui)

Mr Bùi Tiến Dũng is an experienced community development specialist and ecological consultant with extensive involvement in sustainable forest management, sustainable livelihoods, and community-based tourism projects across Northern, Central, and Central Highlands Vietnam.

Driven by a deep passion for nature, Mr Bui views responsible nature tourism as a practical pathway to support biodiversity conservation while strengthening local communities. Mr Lầm Nàm Cón
Technology Engineer, Wildlife Photographer and Birding Guide
(commonly known as Mr Jang)

Mr Lầm Nàm Cón is a technology engineer and experienced wildlife photographer with extensive travel throughout Vietnam’s key biodiversity regions. He has built an impressive photographic portfolio featuring Vietnamese birds, mammals, and primates, reflecting both technical skill and deep field knowledge.

As a dedicated birding guide and nature specialist, Mr Jang is always eager to share his practical experience, technical expertise, and passion for wildlife photography, inspiring others to better understand and appreciate Vietnam’s rich natural heritage.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Mr Jim Pompy, M.Sc.
Technical Adviser
(commonly known as Mr Jim)

Mr Jim Pompy has lived and worked extensively in Vietnam, developing a long-standing passion for birdwatching, wildlife observation, and nature conservation. He has travelled widely throughout Asia, with particular focus on Vietnam’s diverse ecosystems and birdlife.

Now retired and based in California, Mr Jim continues to support VIETNATURE as a Technical Adviser, providing quality control, technical guidance, and expert insight to ensure high standards across VIETNATURE’s wildlife and nature programmes.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Mr Nguyễn Lương Dũng
Forestry Engineer, Ecological Researcher and Birding Guide
(commonly known as Mr Jung)

Mr Nguyễn Lương Dũng is a highly experienced forestry engineer and ecological researcher with a long-standing career in environmental education, conservation, and sustainable tourism development. He previously worked as a field officer and environmental educator for WWF-Vietnam, supporting community-based initiatives aimed at reducing pressure on natural resources and improving rural livelihoods in and around Cát Tiên National Park.

Since 2003, Mr Jung has been closely associated with Cát Tiên National Park, serving in multiple roles including forest ranger, ecological researcher, birding guide, tour operator, and media and environmental education specialist. His extensive field experience and local knowledge make him a key contributor to conservation-focused wildlife and birding programmes in southern Vietnam.

Võ Quang Trung
Ecological Researcher and Wildlife Guide
(commonly known as Mr Tung)

Mr Võ Quang Trung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and possesses extensive knowledge of the forests and biodiversity of Đồng Nai Province. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Conservation Management at the Đồng Nai Cultural Nature Reserve, where he is actively involved in wildlife protection and ecosystem management.

At VIETNATURE, Mr Tung is both a knowledgeable guide and a source of inspiration, accompanying guests in the exploration of Dong Nai’s wildlife and flora. With a particular interest in the behavioural ecology of reptiles and other wildlife, he is deeply committed to scientific research and long-term nature conservation in Vietnam.

 
 
 
 

Mr Phạm Hoàng Hải
Mechanical Engineer, Driver and Wildlife Guide
(commonly known as Mr Hi)

Mr Phạm Hoàng Hải has worked at Cát Tiên National Park for over 26 years, gaining extensive hands-on experience in conservation activities, park operations, and wildlife guidance. As both a professional driver and nature guide, he plays an essential role in safely escorting visitors through the park’s diverse landscapes.

Every journey with Mr Hi is an engaging adventure that brings travellers closer to nature. Known for his enthusiasm and warmth, he takes great pleasure in sharing his deep local knowledge and creating memorable experiences for visitors exploring the natural wonders of National Parks.
