Day 1: Primate expedition and night safari
02:30 PM: Jungle exploration
Through the rich ecosystems of Lagerstroemia, Semi-evergreen, and Mixed bamboo-wood forests. Wildlife highlights include: Black-Shanked Douc Langur, Long-Tailed Macaque, Black Giant Squirrel. With luck, spot rare species like the Southern Pygmy Loris and Annamese Silvered Langur.
06:30 PM – Night safari – Nocturnal wildlife.
Explore Cat Tien’s night-time wilderness to witness: Sambar Deer, Muntjac, Wild Boar, Porcupines, Mongoose, Civets, Gaurs (if lucky!)
Day 2: Wild gibbon Encounter and crocodile lake trek
04:45 AM: Golden cheeked gibbon tour
Begin your early morning wild gibbon trek, following the calls of Golden cheeked gibbons through the evergreen forest. Other wildlife may include: Back-Shanked Douc langur, Pig-tailed Macaque, Malayan flying Lemur, Eastern striped and Pallas’ squirrel
07:30 AM: Crocodile lake adventure
By car or by bike 09 km through the forest, followed by a 05 km walk (each way) toward Crocodile Lake. Along the way, discover: Afzelia xylocarpa, Elephant-ear Plant, Tung trees, Perfect photo opportunities for nature lovers., Orange-breasted trogon, White-crested laughingthrush , Common flameback, oriental Pied hornbill, White-bellied woodpecker and primates. At Crocodile Lake – Spot Siamese crocodiles, lizards, skinks, and snakes.
11:30 AM: Return trek and final wildlife encounters on your way back, look for: Great Hornbill, Bar-Bellied Pitta, Germain’s Peacock-Pheasant and more.
01:00 PM: Depart Cat Tien national park
