The Siamese Fireback (Lophura diardi) is endemic to Indochina and is Thailand’s national bird. It is easily observable in the Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve and Cat Tien National Park in southern Viet Nam. Males display glossy blue-black plumage, a red face, and long tail feathers. Females are brown and well camouflaged. They forage on the ground for seeds and insects.
