Cat Tien wild tour (03 days)

Cat Tien National Park offers a wide range of habitats, including evergreen and semi-deciduous forests, bamboo, wetlands, and grassland areas. It is the first national park in Vietnam to be recognized on the IUCN Green List, the global standard for recognizing successful area-based conservation. Cattien wild tour participants will be picked up either at the meeting point or directly at Cat Tien National Park.

Day 01: Walking – Night Safary

Morning: From Ho Chi Minh city to Cat Tien about 3 hours driver

Afternoon: Walk through the forest for about 6 km/2 hours to explore and identify some species of plants and animals in the natural environment, checking in at some old big trees as Tetrameles nudiflora, Cycas inermis, Lagerstroemia speciosa. During this hike, we will see Parakeets, Hornbills, Partridges, Pittas many others … and after that, take a rest at Ben Cu rapid.

Everning: By jeep – car take you through the forest to the grassland, the guide will use a spot light to try and spot the night life of ungulates as Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Civet Cat, Porcupine … If you are lucky, maybe you can easily admire the Gaurs and another sps.. The trip lasts about 1 hour.

20:00 pm: Dinner time & sleep well

Day 02: Crocodile lake – Jungle heart

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at Cat Tien.

8h30: Transferred by jeep – car/bike for 9 km inside the park to junction, then you will walk for 5 km (each way). You can take some photos and visit plant such as Afzelia xylocarpa, Storeulia lychnophlora, Elephant-ear Plant, an enormous Tung tree and many big trees other jungle life. Those walks give you the good chance to see the  wide variety of birds such as Orange – breasted Trogon, White-crested Laughingthrush, Common Flameback, Bronze – winged Jacana, Purple swamphen, Osprey… and may see the Oriental pied Hornbill, White-bellied Woodpecker,  … and plenty of opportunities to see the Siame Crocodila, primates and lizards, skinks and snakes

Lunch and Rest: After lunch, take a rest and then head to the headquarters.

Leave Crocodile Lake: Walk back 5 km, looking for some primates and birds such as the Great hornbill, Bar-bellied Pitta, Germain’s peacock-pheasant and woodpeckers.

Day 03: Fare Well

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at Cat Tien.

ANIMAL RESCUE (one hour): The aim of this centre is to rescue, train and released into the semi-natural forest habitat that helps further rehabilitation and help develop their wild and release them to the wild.

Short walking to see the Yellow-cheeked crested gibbon, Moon Bear, Great hornbill, Green peacock, Otter, Turtle … and one the wild gibbon family with 06 individual  nomarly appear close to the rescue center can take photography of them.

MUSEUM (one hour): many sample of mamals such as Elephant, Gaur, Bear, Dear, Pagolin and many varieties primates, birds, reptiles, insect …as Monkey, Langur, Peacock, Hornbill … in here.

11:30 am: Enjoy lunch and depart from Cat Tien to:

* Ho Chi Minh city (Tan Son Nhat airpost);

* Dalat plateau (Lien Khuong airpost, Dalat city);

* Beach of Mui Ne (Phan Thiet province), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province), Baria (Vung Tau province).
